Elterma starts-up a RE 500 Rotary Retort Continuous Furnace System for hardening and annealing of bearing rolls
In December 2008 Elterma delivered a RE 500 Rotary Retort Continuous Furnace System to one of the biggest Polish manufacturer of bearings. The furnace has been designed for hardening and annealing of bearing rolls with a fi from 4 to 28mm and the length from 6 to 55mm. The maximum efficiency of the production line is up to 450 kg/hour. Heat treatment of the bearing rolls is conducted in an exothermic atmosphere in the case of the furnace for hardening and in the air atmosphere in the case of the furnace for annealing. In both of the furnaces electrical heat elements have been installed.
The RE 500 rotary retort continuous furnace system is equipped with an innovative “Whirl-A-Way” hardening system. It is designed to achieve displacement of a small load in a cooling liquid stream what ensures a perfect homogeneity (uniformity) of hardening.
