ELTERMA recently has obtained the contract for the order of a Roller Hearth furnace and (2) Electrical Retort Pit furnaces for a Slovakian manufacturer of rolling bearings.

This continuous line is dedicated for the following processes: preheating before hardening, further press hardening as well as tempering of the bearing rings with a diameter of up to 1500 mm.

The complete technological roller hearth line, ARE-100, which is the subject of his contract, consists of the following equipment:

electrical roller hearth hardening furnace, PHRE-100,
washing-drying equipment, UMSRE-100,
electrical roller hearth tempering furnace, PORE-100,
controls system.

Furthermore, the customer has ordered the technological line of (2) pit furnaces. This equipment will be used for ring carburizing up to the effective layer depth of 4.9 mm. The equipment as follows is:

electrical retort pit furnace, PEGAT-1000/15x25,
electrical retort pit furnace, PEGAT-1000/12x25,
salt tank, WHS-15x25,
washing machine, MKV2-15x25,
electrical pit furnace, PEG-750/15x25

Heat treatment processes in the roller hearth furnace, ARE-100, and pit furnaces lines will be proceed fully automatic and controlled by integrated computer systems, which guarantees process continuity. Start-up of both technological lines has been scheduled for the end of August, 2007.

Elterma also received an order from a Japanese bolts producer. This customer serves mainly for the automotive industry with a plant location in the Czech Republic. This contract concerns the manufacturing of a belt tempering furnace, PTE-550/150x5. Capacity of this furnace is 1000 kg/h; this furnace will be used for heat treatment of bolts of M6x10 to M12x100 size after mechanical working. Start-up of this furnace at the customer’s plant is scheduled for March, 2007.
